Pecorino Romano PDO
is a cheese produced from sheep’s milk.

As the name suggests, the history of Pecorino Romano dates back to the Roman times when it was part of the staple diet of soldiers at war, as well as the favourite cheese of Roman aristocrats.

Pecorino Romano has been granted the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) under European Union law.

It is a hard, straw-coloured cheese, with a compact paste. Upon ripening, it develops a thin, smooth, ivory rind.

It is characterised by a strong and aromatic flavour and it exudes an intense aroma.

Our Pecorino Romano PDO is available in wheels.
