HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR MOOD WITH CHEESE

In recent years, food is not only considered as a source of nutrients, but it is thought to have other, important features.

Thanks to their high content of vitamins and minerals, they can enhance cognitive and mental functions. Therefore, cheeses may be considered excellent "mood food", i.e. food that can improve your mood.

Tryptophan plays key role. Tryptophan is an amino acid with a calming action content which is present in dairy products. This neurotransmitter is vital to regulate the sleep-wake cycle and improve the quality of sleep. That’s why the habit of drinking a glass of milk before going to sleep is so good!

However, the milk is not the only source of tryptophan. Indeed, Gorgonzola contains more than four times the same amount of this substance!!

It is thus advisable to regularly include this cheese in your diet to benefit from its healthy characteristics and to improve the physical and mental wellbeing.
